One step Wood Stain and Varnish

Instructions

Before you begin:

Stir carefully before use. Do a test beforehand in a discreet area to check if the color and effect obtained are those desired. The final color may vary depending on the wood species used. The surface must be free of all dirt, dust, wax, grease and moisture.

Surface preparation:

• Bare wood: Ensure that the surface to be stained is properly sanded with a 150 grit sandpaper.
• Varnished wood: Wash with SamaN’s TSPeco and lightly sand with a 150 grit sandpaper. Afterward, check the adhesion of the old varnish and test its compatibility with the new finish before starting.

Application:

• Apply a thin coat of SamaN’s stain and varnish with a natural silk brush following the direction of the wood grain.
• Damp the surface to be stained to avoid any overlapping marks.
• Remove the excess with a dry and clean brush. When it no longer absorbs properly, wipe it off on another clean cloth and continue.
• To darken and increase the luster, the application of a second coat will give a richer color, a brighter finish and a superior protection.
• To soften the surface between coats; lightly sand with a 220 grit sandpaper.

Drying time:

• 1 hour
• Let it dry for 2 to 4 hours before applying a second coat.

Cleaning tools:

Clean all tools and equipment with hot soapy water or mineral spirit (paint thinner).
